Researcher biography
I am a researcher focused on mangrove areas, particularly their key ecosystem service of carbon sequestration, known as blue carbon. Currently, I am a scholarship holder under the supervision of Prof. Hugh Possingham, studying priority Brazilian mangrove areas for conservation and restoration to support land use and occupation policies. I am an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences in Brazil. Throughout my studies, I developed a strong interest in modeling and geoprocessing. I have contributed to studies on mangroves in southeastern Brazil and the identification of fire hotspots in the Amazon rainforest.
