We published 3,408 scientific papers between 2013-2025, 67% of which included an international co-author. Our papers have been cited 179,288 times, which is more than twice the expected rate for comparable publications, and include 143 publications in the world’s three leading multidisciplinary science journals – Nature, Science, and PNAS. Over 70% of these publications are published in quartile 1 journals (i.e., journals ranked in the top 25% of journals in their field) and 106 of these publications are Highly Cited Papers (rank in to top 1%).

Half of the 3,408 scientific papers we published have been cited in 5,838 policy documents in 34 countries produced by 580 unique policy bodies worldwide, including the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the International Union for Conservation of Nature, the United Nations Environment Programme, Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services, the World Bank. Our publications have been mentioned nearly 20,000 times in news stories across more than 80 countries, by outlets including The Conversation (1,112), The Guardian (198), National Geographic (88), BBC News (65 times), Washington Post (46), CNN News (42), Forbes (34), and New York Times (28) (Altmetric Explorer, May 2026).
