Researcher biography
Yang is a PhD candidate at Beijing Normal University studying shorebird migration in the East Asian-Australasian Flyway (EAAF) under Professor Zhengwang Zhang. He's currently a visiting student at the University of Queensland, working with Professor Richard Fuller. His research focuses on tracking the pied avocet in East Asia, a species doing well while other shorebirds decline. Yang aims to discover how this species adapts to changes and use this knowledge to help conserve other shorebirds.
