Researcher biography
Adam’s research consists in using spatial models to explore human-environmental systems and inform environmental policies, particularly in water and food systems. In his PhD, he developed an agent-based model to simulate the behaviour and interactions of stakeholders in urban stormwater management leading to the adoption of decentralised stormwater treatment and harvesting technologies in Melbourne. He then joined the McDonald-Madden lab in 2018 to work on developing a spatial model of global beef production to minimise multiple local environmental impacts, such as carbon emissions, biodiversity loss and water pollution.
