Researcher biography

Courtney is an ecological researcher for Bush Heritage Australia as part of their national science programme. Her main research focus is on monitoring the health of woodland bird communities using acoustic methods. Specifically, her project seeks to develop collection and analysis methods that provide ecologically meaningful data to inform on-ground management actions for conservation. Courtney works closely with the Maron Ecology and Conservation Policy Lab on the collaborative Bird Community Condition Metric project lead by Professor Martine Maron and is an active member of the Wildlife Conservation Lab lead by Dr April Reside.
