Researcher biography
In 2020, I graduated from The University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Marine Science. Shortly after, I decided to pursue my Honours with Dr Daniel Dunn. I'm passionate about conservation science, sustainable fisheries management and all things marine. My project is focused on the conserving the school shark (Galeorhinus galeus) which occurs in the temperate waters of the southern and eastern coast of Australia. Through reviewing the efficacy of current policies and fisheries management strategies that apply to school shark stocks, I hope to improve risk analyses, mitigation measures and general awareness of the threats imposed on this Critically Endangered species.
