Researcher biography
Chris is a PhD student at The University of Queensland, investigating the roles of fire and feral cats in the decline of the Endangered northern bettong. Before his PhD, Chris completed a Master of Science at The University of Melbourne in 2017, assessing the use of technology such as drones and thermal imaging in surveying cryptic tree-kangaroos, before undertaking an internship with the Australian Wildlife Conservancy in 2018.
Chris’s research interests revolve around wildlife conservation, identifying and addressing the key pressures facing threatened species.
