Researcher biography
Lara received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Denison University in the US. She then completed a Master’s degree in Zoology at the University of Hawai`i, designing a computerised model of a coral reef ecosystem. She is currently working on her PhD, with the topic ‘the extinction of experience and human interactions with nature.’ She is especially interested in how the benefits of nature are delivered, and what leads people to define themselves as connected to nature.
