Researcher biography

I am a conservationist interested in all things ocean. For my PhD with Carissa Klein as my principal supervisor, Daniel Dunn, Peggy Schrobback and Chris Wilcox, I am currently working on improving seafood sustainability from its production to our plates. Particularly, I am looking at the role that trade (national and international) plays in the sustainability of the seafood we eat.

I have a background in Conservation Biology and Management (BSc Hons 1st) and Tropical Biodiversity and Ecosystems (Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree), which has taken me around the world and ultimately to The University of Queensland, where I developed my Master’s thesis designing climate-smart MPAs in the Indian Ocean with Anthony Richardson.
