Researcher biography

I'm a mathematics research assistant with a passion for optimisation, particularly in conservation and humanitarian areas. Supervised by Dr Matthew Holden, I'm currently working on protected area expansion or enforcement for elephant conservation, and model complexity for fisheries management. My other research topic is optimising hospital surgery schedules to help more patients with lower costs.

I completed a Bachelor of Mathematics in 2021 majoring in applied maths and computational science. I then finished a Bachelor of Mathematics (Hons I) in 2022 in mathematical conservation.
