Researcher biography
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science (Honours)
My PhD project aims to use a seascape genomics approach to better understand the spatial distribution of genetic diversity and adaptive potential in a few common coral species in Australia and the Caribbean. My work is inter-disciplinary and I aim to work alongside ecologists, geneticists, NGOs and government to use this information to inform marine spatial planning tools and objectives. Ultimately, I strive to work at the intersection of scientific research and conservation practice/policy. More broadly, I am passionate about science communication; empowering women in STEM; science outreach and sustainable development.
