Oakes Holland

I am working under the supervision of Associate Professor Kerrie Wilson and Dr Elizabeth Law for a short Masters project.  The focus of this project is to develop a causal model for the amount of land-clearing observed in the Brigalow Belt South biogeographical region of Queensland, as well as a predictive model of land-clearing in this region. I have a wide range of interests under the conservation umbrella, including marine, Antarctic, and broad-scale conservation issues.  I also have a keen interest in environmental education and recently signed on to the CSIRO Scientists in Schools program, which partners scientists with local schools to provide guidance for and activities with their students.
