Researcher biography
Hello, my name is Oscar and I am currently an honours student under Dr April Reside. My honours project is going to look at the effects of land-use on grey snake (Hemiaspis damelii) abundance in the Darling Downs region of Queensland. I am undertaking field work to record the abundance of grey snakes over a number of sites and will be assessing several different environmental variables in order to generate a general linear mixed model (GLMM) to see which variables are correlated with the occurrence of this species. My projects overall aim is to understand what is important to grey snakes so that we can more effectively survey them and conserve areas that may be important for their populations in Southern QLD.
