Researcher biography
Riley grew up in Toowoomba and the North-Eastern United States, where he developed a love for hiking and high-altitude regions. After completing a Bachelor of Education (mathematics extended major) at Queensland University of Technology in 2020, he taught in high schools in North and South-East Queensland, before deciding to pursue a career in understanding, enjoying, and protecting the natural environment.
Riley is currently completing a Masters in Conservation Science at the University of Queensland, where he is interested in contributing to research in rainforest and alpine ecology.
