Researcher biography
Alvaro's research is focused on vegetation–climate interactions. He uses satellite images and climate models to understand the impacts of land cover change on the surface climate of tropical and semi-arid biomes.
He is currently working on understanding the climate impacts of landscape restoration in central Chile.
